The 'Apaches held command at 46-39 at the third stop, but the Vikes outscored the home team by a 20-8 edge to win it in the last period. Huntington ran off eight straight points one stretch in the final- period to turn a 48-43 deficit into a' 51-48 lead.

The Vikes later. took command for keeps at 54-52 with 2:34 left in the game. Huntington held a 29-28 edge at halftime before a third-period rush by Wabash switched the lead. But Eastern, battling back from that 33-20 deficit, moved in front at 40-37 on a run of 10 straight points and finally had the Trojans all even at 40-all at the third stop.
