Is there currently a problem with 3 network? ›

Our systems haven't reported any network problems. Visit our coverage checker to see what coverage would normally be like in your area. We'll add any further updates here. We're working on the network in this area at the moment.

Three is currently in the process of merging with Vodafone in a £15bn deal which is due to be completed by the end of 2024.

User reports indicate no current problems at 3 (Three)

The outage map has a legend at the top of the page to indicate how many customers are affected by the outage. Green equals 1–49, Yellow, 50–499, Orange 500–4,999 and Red 5,000. Oftentimes, a larger outage is made up of many small outages, meaning you may see many green pins representing 1–49 customers.

Check for Physical Connectivity Issues

Sometimes, your internet connection can fail due to simple issues like a loose or unplugged network cable, modem, or router. Or, if you're on a wireless network, your computer's wireless network interface card might be turned off.

Select the Start button, then type settings. Select Settings > Network & internet. The status of your network connection will appear at the top. Windows 10 lets you quickly check your network connection status.

Try turning your phone off and on again to see if that fixes the problem (it often works!). Are you having issues in one specific area? If so, there may be an issue with the coverage in that area.

Three is the fourth-largest mobile network operator in the United Kingdom, with about 10.6 million subscribers as of May 2024. The company launched on 3 March 2003 as the UK's first commercial 100% 3G network. It provides 3G, 4G and 5G services through its own network infrastructure.

All 3-branded network companies are wholly-owned subsidiaries of CK Hutchison Holdings (formerly Hutchison Whampoa) but the ownership structure varies.

Which network does Three use? Three is its own mobile network. It doesn't piggyback on other network.

Why is data not working? ›

A no-data connection error can result from a basic software glitch, damaged hardware, or even a network-wide outage that renders the entire mobile network unavailable.

Green means 1–49 customers are without power, Yellow means 50–499 customers are without power, Orange means 500–4,999 customers are without power and Red means over 5,000 customers are without power.

What is a Public Safety Power Shutoff? Severe weather, such as high winds, can cause trees or debris to damage equipment. If there is dry vegetation, this could lead to a wildfire. That's why we may need to turn power off to keep you safe. This temporary outage is called a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS).

The hex code for orange is #FFA500. Orange is a fresh, youthful, and creative color. It has the warmth of red and the optimism of yellow, and it communicates activity and energy and encourages socialization. Orange looks and feels fresh and healthy and can even stimulate appetite.

But, Three customers often complain of losing signals or facing a Three Signal problem. This network issue can happen with even the best networks. Weak signal strength can be caused by physical obstructions or any technical error with the cell towers.

Since 2019, Australia's mobile network operators have been preparing to switch off their 3G networks to boost the capacity, speed and reliability of their 4G and 5G networks. Telstra will switch off its 3G network on 31 August 2024, and Optus from 1 September 2024.

To get the best out of your Three Broadband connection, you'll need to make sure your hub is free of any obstructions and at least one metre away from other electrical items like TVs or cordless phones. We recommend placing your hub on a windowsill to help it receive the best possible signal from our network.
