Does TD Bank small business have Zelle? ›

We're partnering with Zelle® to bring you a fast and easy way to send and receive money with friends, family and other people you trust. Eligible personal and small business customers can also send and receive payments with Zelle®. Zelle® is free and available right from your Online Banking profile or TD Bank app.

To add a TD Bank authorized user, log in to your TD Bank account online and click the “Accounts Summary” tab, or call customer service at 1 (888) 561-8861. You will need to provide their full name and birth date to add them as an authorized user.

Zelle doesn't charge fees to send or receive money, for businesses or customers. Very few banks charge fees to use Zelle either, but it's best to check with your bank about potential fees and transaction limits before receiving payments.

Business account scam

After the scammer tells you they want an item, you receive an email that looks like it's from Zelle, saying the “buyer” paid with a business account and to access the payment, you must also upgrade to a Zelle business account—for $300.

To use Send Money with Zelle® you must have an Online Banking profile with a U.S. address, a unique U.S. mobile phone number, and an active unique e-mail address. Your eligible personal deposit account must be active and enabled for ACH transactions and Online Banking transfers.

While you can use Zelle to pay your employees or contractors, it can create unintended problems surrounding proof of payment, backend paperwork, and tax payments.

For example, TD Bank has a $1,000 daily limit, and Chase Bank has a daily limit of $500 to $10,000 depending on your account tier. Several banks also restrict the number of payments you can send within specific time periods.
